Wie ich soeben über die offizielle Microformats Mailingliste erfahren habe, plant man bei Mozilla im Firefox 3 (ok - das Release ist noch etwas hin) Microformats native zu unterstützen. Diese Information kann man aus einem Meeting Protocoll dem Mozilla Wiki entnehmen.

Es geht dabei wohl vor allem erstmal um eine “Microformats Detection” - vermutlich also eine Implementation im ähnlichen Ausmaß wie das Tails Plugin von Calvin Yu. Das ganze ist als Requirement für die Gecko 1.9 (Gecko ist die Layout Engine von Mozilla) angegeben. Ich bin gespannt!
