Matthias from the N U M B - New Urban Music Blog has created a set of microformats extensions for the Blogging Tool Serendipity.
With these extensions you have your blogroll marked up with hCard and XFN, you add a comfortable hReview and hCalendar functionallity to your blog and he modified a existing social bookmarking plugin to make it work with del.icio.us, ma.gnolia, furl.net and linkroll.com … and of course … the links are marked up with xFolk!
Great job Matthias! So this extension set is a great deal, for all Serendipity users, who wanna get started with microformats (Whoever they are … I have never heard before of this blogging tool 
)

Thanks a lot, Sebastian! While the social bookmarking plugin already is fully functional (I will add more services if requested, e.g. Mr. Wong is in the works), I recommend that you install the microformats plugin only if you are really interested and know what you’re doing. It’s still in an early stage, but everyone is welcome to test drive it, of course. Take a look at Dirk’s blog or at mine to see what it looks like. You can download the plugins from my page, but future updates will probably be directly committed to Serendipity’s CVS on Sourceforge. Ehm, what is this “Wordpress” software anyway?

Gibt es eigentlich irgendeinen besonderen Grund warum dieser Artikel und alle bisherigen Kommentare auf Englisch sind, obwohl doch alle Beteiligten eigentlich deutschsprachig sind? (wie auch die meisten anderen Blogposts?)

Ja - Serendipity ist ja ein internationales Produkt und da ca. 30-50% meines Traffics bei dem Stichwort “Microformats” aus den USA kommt, macht es Sinn diese frohe Kunde gleich mal auf englisch zu verbreiten, damit sie die lieben Kollegen von Ãœbersee auch verstehen

dank dir Sebastian für diesen Blogeintrag. Das Plugin hätte ich sonst wohl nicht so schnell gefunden. Funktioniert super - bin sehr zufrieden.
